NOTE: I am not a distributor for 5Linx, nor do I work for this company. I think innovative telecommunications products are an interesting concept in MLM.  I look at various MLM opportunities as a 3rd party, expert in this industry, offering a un-biased view to help people looking for home based business opportunities.

Watch this Video (below) FIRST, to ensure you get the most benefit from this information about the 5Linx Scam.

Read my other articles on this company:

Truth #1: The BBB and the FTC keep a watchful eye out for scams.

Check with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to find out if there’s proof of a 5Linx scam. Things change fast online. Their job is to regulate commerce, prosecute and publicize businesses that break the law.

The BBB and the FTC keep a history of complaints filed against any. On the flip side, they also publish how a company responds to a complaint. You can see the track record and then make up your own mind as to whether or not you think a company is a scam.

Truth #2: Online Marketers effectively capture “eyeballs” by using the word scam.

Did you know that over 1 million people search online daily for opportunities to make more money?
•    Internet marketers know that their choice of keywords in online marketing are critical to getting in front of these people.
•    When people are researching home-based businesses, they immediately go to Google and search for the company to see if it’s real and not a scam.
•    Meaning, there are a lot of keyword searches for “Company Scam”.
•    Marketers see this as their opportunity to get your attention and then get their marketing message in front of you.

Just skip to the end of any video online, or scroll down to the bottom of any blogs or articles you find. Chances are, a shrewd marketer will be selling you their opportunity by the end of the content.

“5Linx scam” is no different. See for yourself.

Truth #3:  MLMs, Network Marketing and Home Based Businesses tend to have bad reputations.

When most people think of home based businesses they tend to be very skeptical. It’s just the unfortunate truth.

Even Google thinks this and has really started to crack down on Internet marketers selling business opportunities. This is actually a great thing. This will help to clean up the industry, get rid of the riff raff that preys on people’s hopes and legitimize these businesses that genuinely do offer opportunity for people willing to work.

Marketers who don’t play by both Google and the watchdog’s rules, get hefty fines ($20K +) and get taken out of the Google search. For a business that relies upon Internet Marketing that’s equivalent to “out of business.”

So, what about the 5Linx scam?

If any person pitching a business opportunity positions it as easy or fast money, in the millions, – - RUN! The truth is, these are legitimate businesses that take legitimate work.

5Linx business distributors who understand and put a lot of effort and tenacity into their venture; succeed. It will also require start-up costs. It takes money to make money despite what anyone tells you. Every company out there has a list of distributors with success stories or they wouldn’t still be in business.

My advice:
•    Dedicate 1 year to getting your business started
•    Be willing to reinvest your initial revenue back into your business
•    Decide to do it regardless of who does or doesn’t help you.

So, if you hear about a 5Linx scam, dig into the details. Ask the accuser what they did to build their business. Chances are you’ll find they didn’t do much and that’s also where you’ll find the truth about the word scam. People love to blame the company on their own lack of effort

Why Read This 5Linx Review?

This is a technology company, with an interesting and innovative product sold through a traditional MLM (Multi Level Marketing) distribution system. At the end of this article I will reveal where I think there is a huge opportunity for savvy marketers.

I am NOT a distributor or an employee of the company. I’m an Internet entrepreneur and a  business expert from the school of hard knocks as well as a traditional MBA. I have over 2 decades entrepreneurial experience in various businesses, primarily start-ups and am writing this so you can make your own decision about this business opportunity.

New businesses require time and money. Lots of both. MLMs are unique in that the startup costs are considerably less than say, a franchise, or a start-up. Regardless, starting any new business venture requires tenacity and hard work and a mindset that just will not allow you to quit.

Pros & Cons Summary
5Linx Review
The company appears to be solid with a good management team and a lucrative comp plan. I believe there are opportunities here to make a decent income if you understand how to market this company utilizing new technologies and marketing systems.

For specifics, read the detailed explanation below.

Explanation of Pros & Cons

Reputation

No glaring complaints jumped out in regards to this company. There were several distributors online that had switched to other companies with similar product lines but all were professionally handled with no “word slinging”.

A quick check with both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at the time of this writing – revealed no complaints. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) in Rochester, NY, showed dozens of complaints, all resolved. There is currently no government action or advertising infringement against the company.

Years In Business

According to the BBB, the company has been in business since January, 2001. A little longevity, especially for an MLM or Network Marketing company, will make your new business opportunity a safer bet since most businesses fail their first year.

5Linx Review: Management

The Company has a well-rounded team that encompasses each area of the business: cellular sales, product development and direct marketing. Personally, I prefer a management team founded in sales. Without sales – there’s no company. This company meets that criteria.

Craig Jerabeck, CEO and President has been with the company since 2001. Mr. Jerabeck has a vast background in cellular retail sales and management prior to his entrepreneurial experience

Jeb Tyler, Exec VP of Marketing, brings a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing to the team but the website doesn’t really say a lot about his prior experiences, so I’m assuming his experience isn’t as in depth as Mr. Jerabeck’s.

Jason Guck, Exec VP of Sales, has experience in the direct marketing industry, critical for the distribution method the team has chosen. Mr. Guck has had considerable success building sales organizations prior to his experience here.

Financial Stability

At the time of this writing, the company is privately held and listed on INC 500 as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Not a bad sign. The company has experienced over 800% growth in the past 300 years.

5Linx Review: Products

The company offers Wireless Phones & Accessories, Long Distance Service, Internet Service Provider, High Speed Internet & Satellite TV.  Probably known most for their VoIP calling plans. I have no reason to believe their products are anything extraordinary or inferior.

5Linx Review: Competition

This is a very challenging market to attempt to pull people away from large established brands and convince them to “switch” in any already established arena. However, positioned properly with the ability to identify prospects, this could be a lucrative opportunity. Everyone, today, uses these services.

5Linx Review: Compensation Plan

This is a traditional MLM direct marketing model. Money is earned based upon business opportunity sign-ups and a residual is also paid monthly each time a customer pays their service charges. There’s also a monthly profit sharing bonus pool.

Top leadership is treated like company executives with corporate benefits, vacation plans, a leased BMW and more bonuses. The top level also receives a car upgrade to a Bentley and more profit sharing.

Opportunities start at $99 (limited) and increase to $499.

5Linx Review: Leadership

The only downside to this company, that I see, is the top producers are old school marketers: utilizing the 3-foot rule, and the friends and family list of warm contacts all pointed towards hotel or home meetings. Interesting – considering they are selling such a high tech product.

Remember, you need a lot of people looking at your opportunity daily, in order to reach the goal of one new sign-up per day. Always look at the top producers in any direct marketing organization. Interview them and sit in on one of their trainings. How do they market and train their team? Look for a “blueprint”, or a “system” that will get you started step-by-step.

See Training below.

5Linx Review: Training

Marketing assistance is provided through materials, conference calls, group trainings and local and national events. I see this with a lot of MLM companies. They pitch the “old school” style of marketing and it’s the #1 reason people fail: chasing prospects and attempting to convince them that they want your offering. This is a very tough marketing method considering the product.

Internet Marketing will allow you to generate 50 to 100 leads per day. That’s actually, several hundred people per day, looking at your opportunity. Finding and talking to that many people daily would be difficult and that’s the value of leveraging the Internet. People will actually flock to YOU.

HUGE Opportunity for 5Linx Distributors Revealed

Leverage the Internet. Let’s face it – where do people shop for technology? ONLINE.

Look, this is an outstanding company, especially when combined with the power ofattraction marketing and today’s technology. The distributor who uses the Internet for their business will dominate the market in a matter of months and that’s exactly why I put together this website.

No more:
•    Home and hotel meetings
•    Approaching strangers
•    Burning out your friends and family

Instead, powerful online sales funnels:
•    Automatically “informs” prospects who have requested information
•    They purchase from you online – - while you’re sleeping
I’ve done it for my business and many, many others. I will show you EXACTLY step-by-step how you can do it too!
